Ah, I sit here at the computer with a full belly, quite contentedly. Jay and I went out for our Sunday morning brunch date to Over Easy on Boor St. Nice little place, already with a line up at 10am! I had the vegetarian scramble and home fries (nice but heavy) and Jay had the blueberry pancakes with about 1/4 cup of maple syrup (the real stuff!). Pretty uneventful morning except for the eccentric older woman sitting next to us who just flew back in from Paris yesterday. Gigantic gaudy ring on every single finger that could take you out with one wild arm flailing! Her big concern was that her new watch (from Paris, you see) needed the time changed (daylight savings last night). She could not for the life of her figure out how to change it. She had given it to another guy in line to change who brought it back to her after about 10 minutes saying that he couldn't figure it out. Alas... She turned to us and asked if we could help her out. Jay said that if the other couldn't get it, he didn't think he could be of much help either, but took a look at it anyway upon her insistance. Click click click, time changed no problem. The woman was eternally grateful. She even asked us to meet her here same time next year. (Presumably she has already arranged for someone for the spring change?)
Saw Caroline Myss yesterday. Quite a speaker. Much more of an in your face type than many in the audience expected. Quite funny to listen to their exchanges during the break... Turns out that she was quite the shit disturber for Jay and I as well. Rough night sorting through our own issues that could no longer be ignored and what that means for us as a couple. Moving through it all in stride, knowing that we are given what we are ready for and that it is all part of the path.
Plans for today are to work on Pathology (midterm on Tueday) and go to the girls' house for homeopathy discussion. Maybe a nap is in order as well...

Oh my! Can it really be more than a month since I last posted? So much has happened since then!
School is in full swing now, with midterms beginning this week. Microbiology and Pharmacology -- not my favorites, but they should go ok.
I've joined up with the Toronto CISV chapter. In fact, I am going to be the Canadian leader to Chile this Dec-Jan. Hooray! We are just finishing filling the delegation, but the two boys already selected were with me at village in Turkey in 2002. What fun!
This weekend was Thanksgiving and Jay and I went to our friend Reg's cottage. What a beautiful and relaxing weekend at the lake! Really wonderful time -- and hard to imagine that it was the first time I have been somewhere in Canada other than Toronto! I really need to get out of the city more often!
My homeopathic remedy is still going strong. Amazing that stuff. I'll be interested to speak with my clinician about how and why she selected this remedy for me. I'm still having the crazy dreams, but they have toned down a bit, much less violence now.
